Description by Author:
Beginning college life is supposed to be an
exciting time in a young person’s life. For Carly Washington doing a class
project becomes a perilous task. She didn’t expect to witness a murder on the
street near her Brooklyn home during her first week of school. When she
discovers the killer is a mob boss it only makes the situation more difficult
and dangerous.
Joseph Gallante has always followed the Mafia
code in his life of organized crime. One of the biggest rules is never leave a
witness behind. Knowing someone has seen him commit the crime makes Gallante
determined to find the young woman. His outreach in the community and law
enforcement provides him with the information he needs.
When Carly’s life is threatened, she and her
family realize they must have protection until the trial against Gallante is
finished. The disruption causes Carly distress and sadness, but she is
determined to face the killer in court.
Will the young woman be responsible for the
downfall of the powerful gangster, or will Gallante find a way to silence her?
