Received a new review for CAPTIVE LOVE

I just noticed a new review for my first book, CAPTIVE LOVE.

It was a great review by a fellow author, Elizabeth Noreen Newton. I'm so glad she also liked the book and plans to read the others in the series. For those of you who would like to try out CAPTIVE LOVE too, it is available free here: books2read.com/u/mYogEV

You can find her review here.

If you decide to grab Captive Love for yourself, please leave a review. Reviews make an author's day and help us to improve our work further. The time you take to do so is very much appreciated. Thanks, Elizabeth, your review means a lot.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all! I hope 2019 will bring you all you wish for without disadvantaging others.
Why don't you start 2019 with a great new habit?
Support #IndieAuthors and buy their books.
Then, once you have read their work, why don't you leave a review. All they wish for is your honest review. In other words, be kind but also be honest.
I, for one, intend to continue writing and publishing my books while reading and reviewing books by other Indie Authors at the same time. This year will be more challenging than last year was. I now have a full-time job to contend with too and this means I won't be able to write as much as I would love to.
So, what are my good intentions for 2019?
Well, other than the above I also want to fully finish GROWING LOVE and DIARY OF A FEMALE GP. I intend to publish them in the first half of this year.
Anyone out there who would like to be a beta reader? Please, do let me know and we can arrange to work together in getting these new books published.
As for your good intentions, why not start with CAPTIVE LOVE?
This short read tells the story of Lydia, a 24-year-old GP receptionist who gets abducted following a night out with her friends. Her housemate, who is also her best friend's older brother, finds her missing and worries about what could have happened to her. Will Lydia need to get used to living according to Sam's dreams or will she be able to escape his clutches?
Read this short novel for free. You can find it here: books2read.com/u/mYogEV
And if you like it, please leave a review. Reviews mean so very much to authors. Thank You! and all the best for 2019!

How about getting Captive Love for free?

As you may realise, my first book in the 'Friends, family and love' series, 'Captive Love', is available free for Kindle, but also at other retailers. You can find the book at books2read.com/u/mYogEV

Why not get it, read it and leave a review? We #IndieAuthors rely on your reviews. Thank you!

It also gives you something to do while you wait for me to complete 'Growing Love', the 6th book in the series, and 'Diary of a Female GP', which I am writing as my #nanowrimo2018 project.

Freed Love, follow Lydia's and Rob's story where Captive Love left off.

Continue Lydia and Rob's story in the second book in the 'Friends, family and love' series.
Freed Love.
Available censored and 18+
books2read.com/u/mYo6rM (18+)
books2read.com/u/brG1YA
#MustRead
This novel follows on from where Captive Love left off. Lydia has escaped with the help of her friend and housemate Rob. The feelings have changed between them and it is difficult for them to find their way back to how their relationship used to be.
Will they be successful in saving their friendship or will it be lost? How will they deal with their feelings and with which consequences?
And what happens when Lydia meets Sam again?
A nice read available in two versions. The 18+ version contains explicit sex scenes and is not suitable for younger readers or those easily offended. Both deal with love, friendship, insecurities and contain just the right amount of suspense to make it interesting.

Writing? What is that?

Today is another day with very little progress. It's already half past three and all I have managed to do so far is to clean the utility room, clean the windows inside and out and do some gardening. Writing has been pushed into a corner in favour of preparations for the visit in a few days.

I have, however, managed to post a book review and get some marketing done. Other than that, I'm still well behind in my writing. Only 28 chapters have been outlined in detail so far and that is only about half of the chapters to be done. It will be my next task on the list to continue with that.

While you are all waiting with baited breath for the next book, here is a little excerpt from

You can, of course, find it here: books2read.com/u/mYogEV

Rob
I hadn’t noticed Lydia coming back home last night. I knew she went out with the girls to the pub and she would usually make sure that she would get home relatively early. She did have to go to work today after all.
Lydia was my little sister’s best friend. She worked as a receptionist at a local GP surgery and had wanted to live a bit closer to work as well as be a bit more independent than living at home on the farm with her parents would allow her to be. I had needed to have a housemate to share the costs of this little cottage and we had thought that sharing this cottage together would be the ideal solution to both our problems.
We both had our own bedrooms, both with ensuite bathrooms. We shared a living room and a kitchen between us. It had so far worked out really well in the year that we had lived together. We were great friends and we enjoyed each other’s company.
Strange, it was already eight in the morning and I had not heard any noise come from her room yet. I was sure she had to start at nine and she was cutting it a bit short if she was still asleep now. That was not like her at all.
I grabbed another coffee and read the paper. Half past eight and she still wasn’t up. Should I go and wake her up?
I walked to her bedroom door and knocked. No answer. I lifted my hand and knocked again. Still no answer. “Lydia, are you awake yet? It’s half eight.” Still no answer. I knocked again and grabbed the door handle opening her door.
Her bed was made, everything looked nice and tidy and there was no sign that she had been in her bed recently. A fresh uniform was draped over her chair. I walked to her bathroom. The door was open and no one was inside. I felt the towel and it was dry. It did not look like she had come home last night. Where was she?
I went into the living room again and sat on the couch. I got my phone out and phoned my sister. She would know if Lydia had decided to sleep over at one of the girls’ instead last night.
The phone rang for a few times and then Krista picked up. “What’s up, bro?”
I explained that Lydia was not at home and asked if she knew where she was. Had she perhaps stayed over with one of the girls? Krista explained that Lydia had left a little earlier than the others last night at around twelve. She had bid them goodbye and said that she was going home. She had no idea where she could have gone either. I told her not to worry, Lydia must have left to go to work earlier than usual today. Then I finished the call.

I still had an uncomfortable feeling though. It felt like someone was trying to squeeze my chest tightly to restrict my breathing. Something just didn’t feel right. I decided I would drive past her work on my way into work that morning. I needed to check she had arrived there safely. Was I right to be worried or was I worrying about nothing?

I hope you enjoyed that little taster of the first book, it is on as a #Permafree at many stores.

Phew, am I tired! Book launch is taking it out of me!

I never realised how tiring it is to launch a new book. Although I already published four books before 'Holiday Love', it never seemed to take such an awful lot of time and effort to do this. I guess I just never did it right.
I'm looking forward to having people start reading the book and leaving honest (and hopefully favourable) reviews.
If you wonder how you can lay your hands on a copy of the book, you can here:
It is always free on Kindle Unlimited.
Please, if you read the book, leave a review. We #IndieAuthors rely on reviews to be noticed by others. Thank you!
To celebrate the launch of 'Holiday Love', the second book in the series 'Freed Love' is available free for Kindle from 1-5 September. 'Captive Love', the first in the 'Friends, family and love' series is #Permafree
You can find 'Freed Love' here: books2read.com/u/brG1YA
and you can find 'Captive Love' here: books2read.com/u/mYogEV
Enjoy reading and please leave a comment.
'Captive Love' received a five-star review recently: “Loved the story and the pace. Fast moving and Sam, hmm. Just a bad boy.”, so definitely worth checking.
