Overall score:

I scored this book 5/5

Short Summary of the book:

This book tells the story of London Grey, an orphaned young woman and her college roommate Zoey. London’s parents were killed in a car accident a few years earlier and she lived with her eccentric grandmother.
Zoey’s brother is very protective of her and has put restrictions on her freedom. As the eldest in their family, he is responsible for his little sister. Their parents died several years earlier. Ryder Malone has had London investigated to ensure his sister will be safe. The moment he sees her on a picture, his obsession with her starts.
What will happen once Zoey and London graduate from college? Will all go separate ways or will their paths cross again?

What I liked about the book:

Although Ryder is very controlling, I loved the obvious love he had for his little sister. The obvious power struggle between responsibilities and love playing inside him is also well played out.

What I didn’t like about the book:

I hate bullies with a vengeance and I hated Zoey was bullied by some other college girls. There wasn’t anything about the book I didn’t like, though.

My favourite bits in the book:

I loved when London stood up for Zoey and how she fought for those she cared about. Her obvious shock at finding out what Zoey and Ryder were and at a later stage finding out her own identity were great too.

My least favourite bits in the book:

I loved the book in its entirety and it was with difficulty I stopped myself from buying the next book in the series already.

Any further books in the series? Any more planned by this author?

I understand this is the first in the series and, once I have read some more of the massive collection of books on my Kindle, I will look forward to getting the next in the series.

What books could this be compared to and why?

There are certainly a lot of commonalities with other books in the paranormal range, shifters, witches, animal attraction etc.

If you like paranormal stories about shifters and witches and sexual tension this book may be the book for you.

I look forward to reading more books by this author.

About the Author:

Bryce is a mother, a writer, and a wife who loves to escape to the world she built in the Ashland Pack. She burst onto the publishing scene with a hit in The Trinity. She loves writing and talking to people who have the same tastes as she does.

I'm a wife to a great hubby and mother to three beautiful children. I love to read books and write about places that come together in my head. I try to write about what I know and usually you will find some law enforcement in my books.

I write about strong characters that I want to see succeed in life. I always write a happy ending. I have to guys. I put a lot of tragedy in my books and then give them the much- needed break they need to be successful.
