Progress update:
I didn't think I would be able to manage this. No, this is a complete surprise and bonus.
Despite spending a lot of my time working and studying to prepare for work (I spent at least 8 hours yesterday and 8 hours today studying), I managed to edit another chapter of 'Diary of a Female GP'.
YEAH!
So pleased I managed a little. I do need to have a little time to relax every now and then.
So, life continues, progress still takes place, however small.
I'll keep going and this book will reach completion and publishing stages. Hopefully some time this year.
By then, the information within the book and descriptions of how General Practice is, will be completely out-of-date.
COVID-19 is changing the nature of General Practice (and so many other places and practices) completely.
Gone are the days where you call your GP to see them the same day or perhaps next week. Instead, you need to complete an online triage before you even get anywhere near a telephone consultation. Sometimes you will be offered a video consultation. And seeing your GP face-to-face? Well, that only happens rarely at the moment. Only when the GP feels this is the only way to assess his/her patient.
But, anyway, editing continues and progress is being made.
Keep smiling everyone! Keep healthy and safe!
Joni.
So many changes happening. Will they be good or bad? I guess we won't know until all this is over.
ReplyDeleteIt is not always easy to manage to get the thongs you want to get done, done--congratulations!
ReplyDeleteWell done, Joni. You will get there even though it may take a longer than you anticipated when you started. Keep plodding on and take care!
