Short
Summary of the book:
This is a book for those of us who would like
to have some advice on how to recruit staff in a way which helps you find the
right person for your business; a person also who would likely remain with the
business for a significant time.
What
I liked about the book:
Although this is set out like a textbook, the
book does not have a textbook feel to it. It makes an interesting read which
gives several bits of good advice.
What
I didn’t like about the book:
I may not have agreed with all the statements
in the book, but I enjoyed reading the book nonetheless and have found several
good tips for future recruitment in it.
My
favourite bits in the book:
The many examples helped to make this an
enjoyable read.
My
least favourite bits in the book:
The main thing I did not agree with in this
book is the use of personality tests. I’ve always been warned not to use them
in recruitment. They are better placed in helping you manage the staff you
already have.
Any
further books in the series? Any more planned by this author?
I believe this author has written several
other non-fiction books.
What
books could this be compared to and why?
Recommendation:
In
summary, I would recommend this book for the following readers:

your business |
If
you like to know more about good ways to recruit
the right person, this book may be the book for you.
I
look forward to reading more books by this author.
