Overall score:

I scored this book 3/5

Short Summary of the book:

This book is aimed at people who wish to lose weight through circuit training and a healthy diet. The book sets out a 6-week programme of alternating exercises you can do at home with no or little equipment and also gives dietary advice.

What I liked about the book:

The exercises appear balanced and well organised.

What I didn’t like about the book:

The book made me wonder if the author is getting paid to promote certain supplements. All the dietary advice advised to take a certain brand of supplements to achieve a ‘healthy diet’. A real healthy diet does not rely on supplements. Instead, it is made up of all food groups in the correct balance. This is something the author also described, but he then repeatedly promotes a brand of supplements. A healthy diet does not need any supplements. Just cut out the junk food, eat a little less and exercise more.

My favourite bits in the book:

The exercise regimes.

My least favourite bits in the book:

The push for certain food supplements.

Any further books in the series? Any more planned by this author?

I understand the author has written more exercise related books.

What books could this be compared to and why?

The book is like a lot of other books promoting exercise and wellbeing.

Recommendation:

In summary, I would recommend this book for the following readers:
