Watch the video and enjoy the song by James Geoffrey written especially for my book Lost Love.
In Hidden Love (the book before this one), Theo (a car mechanic) and Krista (a physiotherapist in training/just qualified) became lovers/a couple. They kept it hidden from their friends and family to first become certain this was the real thing. Theo's sister Josie is one of Krista's friends, and they didn't want any drama taking place if this wasn't the real thing.
Towards the end of Hidden Love, their relationship is discovered by their friends and family. And all hell breaks loose. Josie believes that Theo is not good enough for her friend Krista and pulls him down shamelessly. Theo's sense of self-worth has always been rather low already, and this is just the last drop. His mother is also very much against their relationship. She, however, believes Krista could never be good enough for her son. As a result, he breaks off the relationship, believing his sister is correct in her statement that he will never be good enough for Krista.
This is where Lost Love starts. Theo falls into a deep depression following the end of their relationship. He no longer goes to work (he lives in a flat above the garage, just like his two friends Ronald and Joshua who also have a flat each above their garage - shared owners) and stops eating, drinking little, and no longer sets a foot outside. He doesn't speak to family or friends any longer. He becomes suicidal, and his friends and family try to get through to him before it is too late. His best friend Rob tries to see him, as does his dad, and Krista tries, too. Josie regrets the harsh words she has spoken now that she realises the effect they have had on her brother.
Krista is also depressed but keeps her head above water.
Can friends and family get through to Theo in time? Can Josie apologise to her brother and friend and salvage their relationships?
Also available as audiobook.
