Short
Summary of the book:
We meet Rosa, a nurse in a prison camp during
a war between confederates and unionists. Russell is a Scotsman imprisoned in
the camp. Despite their differences, Rosa falls for the cheeky prisoner who
helps his fellow prisoners by getting into the hospital with injuries and
bringing medical potions back with him. Once the war is over, will Russell
leave or stay behind?
What
I liked about the book:
A gentle love story against the odds. This is
a short but full read.
