Summary of the book:
Shell Rockwood knows what she wants. But, she
is the heiress of her parents and grandfather who all have planned out her
future in business for her. When the police calls in her grandfather’s help to expose
a crime-ring, she is forced to pose as the girlfriend of police officer Jax,
who has something to prove himself.
What
I liked about the book:
I enjoyed this book. There was lots of action
with a headstrong girl and a police officer not wanting to break the rules. The
tension between both was palpable throughout the book.
What
I didn’t like about the book:
I loved the entire book.

favourite bits in the book:
Where Shell is able to steer things in the
right direction.
My
least favourite bits in the book:
None of those in this book.

The author has written other books but this
is the first I have read.

This is reminiscent of other books where the
entitled girl is not all she appears to be.

Cops and Robbers Isn’t Just for Kids
Shell Rockwood's family has her life all
planned out, but she's got a secret to help her break free and jump into the
driver's seat.
Jax Forrester has a lot to live up to as an
officer climbing the ranks, determined to play by the rules and get out from
under his father's shadow.
In order to expose a crime-ring and get a
break in the case, Jax goes undercover as Shell's new boyfriend to gain access
to the high-end garage on her family's resort winery.
Shell risks having her secret exposed as
she's forced to play nice and bring Jax into her world of mechanics and luxury
cars. Can they work together to catch the criminals or will their pretend
romance send both of them careening off course?
About
the Author:
Growing
up in Ontario, Canada, MJ was the only child of a single mom. MJ’s passion for
the arts ignited at a young age as she wrote adventure stories and read them
aloud to close family and friends. The dramatic arts became a focus in high
school as an aid to understanding character motivation in her writing. Majoring
in Theatre Production at University, with a minor in English, she went on to
teach both elementary and high school for 10 years throughout Simcoe County.
MJ
currently lives with her husband and young son in Caledon, Ontario. She keeps
busy these days with her emerging authors’ website Infinite Pathways: hosting
writing contests, providing editing services, free publicity tips, book
reviews, and opportunities for authors to build their writing platform and
portfolio. In addition she writes articles, works freelance writing and
editing, and is preparing to launch her first science fiction novel The
Chronicles of Xannia: Time’s Tempest on October 1st, 2014. She firmly believes
that if she hadn’t been born a Virgo, she would not be half as organized as
necessary to accomplish everything in her daily agenda.
