Book Review: Her Majesty & The Virgin by N.J.Adel

Book Review

Basic Details:

Book Title: Her Majesty & the Virgin

Subtitle: (Her Royal Harem #2)

Author: N.J. Adel
Genre: Erotic fiction/BDSM
Part of a series? Yes
Order in series: 2nd
Best read after earlier books in series? Yes, but can be read as stand-alone.

Overall score:

I scored this book 5/5

Short Summary of book:

This book continues the story of Queen Elishia and her guards. She is in love with one of her guards but is unable to act on her feelings. Quinn, in turn, loves her as well but has chosen to protect her over his love for her. She meets a virgin on dispensation day and offers him a position in the castle. He will join a special group, which he will form. Tension builds between her guard and her during the book.

What I liked about the book:

I particularly liked the building of tension throughout the book and the internal fight Quinn had to go through.

What I didn’t like about the book:

I liked this book better than the first in the series.

My favourite bits in the book:

I loved where it for a moment looked like Quinn was going to give in to his feelings.

My least favourite bits in the book:

I can’t tell you without a major spoiler alert.

Any further books in the series? Any more planned by this author?

I understand this is the second book in the series and there is a third book planned.

What books could this be compared to and why?

This book reminded me of other erotic/BDSM books, but it is not at the level of ’Fifty Shades of Grey’.

Recommendation:

In summary, I would recommend this book for the following readers:

Children
NO
Young Adult
Doubtful
Adult
Yes

If you like erotic fiction this book is the book for you.

I look forward to reading more books by this author. I can’t wait to find out what happens in the next book. Will there be happiness or pain? The book was left on a bit of a cliffhanger.

Book description by author:

Quinn’s build is exactly my taste. Tall. Lean. Big, muscular arms with thick sinews along them. Broad shoulders and chest. Hard abs I’m dying to feel clench against me.
Except that I can’t.
It doesn’t matter if he’s chiseled to perfection and I’ve never wanted a man more than I want him, or that his heart has never belonged to anyone but me, or that he’s crawling toward my feet right now.
I can’t have him.
Because I’m a fucking queen, and he’s an orphan who has chosen to protect me for the rest of his life.
It doesn’t change anything, though. Not about the way he feels about me or the way I…
I need a distraction. It has a name.
Theodore.

From the moment I laid eyes on Theodore, I’ve fantasized about breaking all the rules with him. He is a virgin. My virgin. Everything he is, everything he learns will be for me.
I’ve never before thought about teaching a man how to touch me for my own gratification. I do now. It’s seductive. A promise of far, far more than a quick, anonymous coupling.
What would he feel like when his body strains against mine? Would he even know what to do? How to penetrate me? If he does, would it be deep or shallow? Rough or gentle?
Would he please me?
Would he make me forget?

Her Majesty and the Virgin is an erotic romance novella with epic love and torture and many men to please Her Majesty.
Disclaimer: BDSM, Fem-Domme, violence, explicit sex, language

The series continues with Book 3 Her Majesty and the Escort.
